Key Responsibilities
– Implement and monitor HSE policies and safety procedures in refinery operations.
– Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations (Factory Act, PESO, OISD, etc.).
– Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
– Monitor Permit to Work (PTW), LOTO, and contractor safety.
– Lead safety trainings, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
– Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
– Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure safe work practices.
– Drive continuous improvement in safety performance and culture.
Qualification
– B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical, Mechanical, Fire & Safety Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
– Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS / PDIS / DIS) from a recognized institution.
– NEBOSH / IOSH certification will be an added advantage.
Candidate Profile
– Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in refinery, petroleum, petrochemical, oil & gas, or chemical industry.
– Strong knowledge of HSE systems, safety compliance, and risk management.
– Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
