Deputy Instrumentation Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Instrumentation System Management
Oversee installation, calibration, maintenance, and reliability of instrumentation systems (e.g., transmitters, control valves, flow meters, level sensors, analyzers).
Conduct data sheet preparation and size verification for PSVs, control valves, orifice plates, etc.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
Develop and enforce preventive maintenance schedules to enhance system uptime (MTBF), reduce downtime (MTTR), and ensure safety.
Lead troubleshooting processes and rapid incident response to instrument failures.

Engineering & Documentation
Review and produce P&IDs, hook-up drawings, MTOs, instrumentation indices, and technical specifications.
Ensure compliance with GAD, PFD, ISO standards, and maintain documentation aligned with SOPs.
Project Management
Lead instrumentation projects, including new installations and system upgrades.
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors/OEMs for procurement, commissioning, and cost-effective implementation.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure instrumentation systems adhere to ISO, OHSAS, and local regulatory standards.
Implement safety practices and ensure process integrity in alignment with company policies.
Team Leadership & Development
Mentor and train instrumentation technicians and engineers.
Set performance goals, evaluate team performance, and facilitate skill development.
Budgeting & Cost Control
Develop and manage instrumentation-related OPEX budgets, including spares and maintenance tools.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction through process optimization.
Reporting & Analytics
Prepare and present instrumentation performance dashboards and MIS.
Track trends, analyze failures, and recommend corrective measures for continuous improvement.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., Six Sigma) is a plus.
Experience:
7–15 years in instrumentation roles within manufacturing, pharma, process, or FMCG industries; at least 3–5 years in a supervisory role.JobLeadsAdzunaApna

Technical Proficiency:
DCS, PLC, SCADA system management
Field instrument calibration and troubleshooting
Engineering documentation (P&ID, drawings, datasheets)
CMMS and maintenance systems

Safety compliance and quality assurance mindset
